It is no secret that Governor Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania is a democrat. It is also not secret that he does not have the best of intentions for the people of the Commonwealth. As with any political, dare I say, “leader,” the further up they go, the further from there morals they go. I do not want to get into a debate over personal beliefs and such, but this article has to do with both the governor and the PA Secretary of Health.
I will interject my personal opinion in this format due to it’s relevance to the story. I personally could care less at what you do, be it religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or whatever. My position on that and being a PA Secretary of Health does not agree. That is just me. Anyway, to the point.
Governor Wolf and Dr. Levine wish for Pennsylvanians to download an application called “COVID Alert PA. This is an app that can notify users if they may have been exposed to COVID-19 without revealing their identity or location.” The email later goes to say “All Pennsylvanians are encouraged to download the app on a personal mobile device to help the fight against COVID-19.” Then continues with “The app is designed with privacy at the forefront. The app does not use GPS, location services, or any movement or geographical information. It will never collect, transmit, or store personal information. In other words, it is completely anonymous.”
This says it uses bluetooth for when you are close to someone, then, if someone puts in their app they are positive, you get a notification. I am willing to bet, with conjunction of any other app, let alone this one, you are inviting the state right in your phones back door. We know they listen, as does the internet. When you look at something online or talk about something around your phone, and all the sudden ads pop up about that same thing. I will not be downloading such an application because as preppers, we need to be aware. Something like this just, like everything else these days, smells a little to fishy. Do not download an app because some government douchebag tells you he thinks you should. Stay safe, keep getting prepared. I feel like the worst is yet to come.
