I actually kind of did a double feature this week for preps. That being said, one is usable for preps, but not really a prep per se. That is putting a hitch on my car. I just got everything, and I was missing a part called a handle nut, so I had to make one. A nut, some sheet metal and a welder. We got the hitch on, so now the trailer is usable.
The other prep I got this week is oil lamps. I got 4 of them and 2 gallons of Kerosene and some additive. I also got extra wick. When I was a kid, I lived in Florida. My family always had oil lamps because of hurricanes. I realized recently that I have none. Why don’t I have any oil lamps? I am a prepper, right? I have been looking around for a few weeks now. I wanted to buy some older ones, but I ended up buying new ones. This will at least get us started.
I know it is not much, but every week can’t be a major food haul week or anything. Actually, I got some M-lok to picatinny rails so I can attach my bipods. While I was grabbing feed today, I made a connection with an owner of some Nigerian Dwarf studs. We are now getting ready to breed our younger goat. That is everything here this week. Watch out for the coming days and weeks. Stay safe and stay prepared.
