PA mandates being lifted?

“The Wolf administration announced today that all mitigation orders, except masks, will be lifted on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31.

The decision was announced in a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Health earlier today, and it adds that mask mandates will lift when 70 percent of Pennsylvanians are fully-vaccinated.”

My favorite part of this is that mask mandates will lift when 70% of Pennsylvanians are fully-vaccinated. I also just read an article about how San Francisco is reaching herd immunity. I have to find this amusing myself. I just cannot understand for the life of me how people are alright taking a vaccine that is not actually authorized? Also, why are people being coerced by government officials to take this vaccine?

I just want to put forward again my personal opinion. I feel like we are pending the actual second wave and I feel like this false sense of security is going to push the second wave hard. I am not for all the restrictions, but I also cannot appreciate the false sense of security.

Another interesting thing revolving around Covid-19 and the vaccine. An immediate co-worker of mine tested positive yesterday (Tuesday) morning, around 9am. My workplace was doing vaccinations for the population we supervise Monday and Tuesday. Vaccines cannot be given if their are restrictions in that housing unit. 2 of our population were removed Sunday and given the slow test. We have the rapid test. The slow test was given to ensure that the vaccines could be given. The housing unit was not put on enhanced quarantine until Wednesday morning, after the vaccine shots were given. Keep in mind, you are not to get this vax if you are sick. No one was tested before the vax was given.

Again, please do what you wish. I have no issue with people taking the vaccine. I am not, and that is how it is. I also do not visit family much and I do not have any pre-existing conditions. Stay prepared and stay safe.
